Thinking of the possibilities of the Empire of Tartaria existing brings to my mind this quote from Robert. E. Howards Conan the Barbarian stories-
"Know, oh prince, that between the years when the oceans drank Atlantis and the gleaming cities, and the years of the rise of the Sons of Aryas, there was an Age undreamed of, when shining kingdoms lay spread across the world like blue mantles beneath the stars."
I do wonder if tatar sauce and steak tartare were so named perhaps because of Tartaria being their origin?
Also new archaeological discoveries are happening all the time and our viewpoint of the past keeps changing. So what's now classed as fiction could very well oneday be proven to be fact. Best to keep an open mind l guess.
